CANOE INSPIRED

For this room, I wanted to create something truly different…an interior that plays with tone-on-tone nude hues in various materials and textures, also employing black and white accents. The space asked for a minimalist approach to decoration and furnishing, but one compensated with a richness of texture to produce that warm, cosy home sensation. My inspiration came from a floating canoe…

Relaxed comfort with a sense of design refinement is the result in this singular space with its natural tones and patterned rug in elegant blues and coral-coloured detail. It dresses the floor impeccably, while a hand-painted ceiling detail in abstract black and white adds to the overall composition and impact. Just the spot to relax and watch your favourite movie by the fireplace.
